As Part of Our Community Service Activities
As part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Atelier Milanese Japan values not only the beauty of jewelry but also social issues and responsibility towards society. With a focus on environmental protection and sustainability, they emphasize what must be done now and concentrate their efforts on two main activities.
Background of Our Cat Protection Activities
Background of activities to protect cats
In Japan, many cats are in situations where they need protection. Among abandoned and stray cats, some are forced to face the fate of being put down due to the selfish actions of certain heartless people. Originally, these cats were house cats, friendly and fond of humans, but after becoming abandoned and approaching people outdoors, they often suffer violence. Considering this situation, it truly pains the heart. Cats are small lives that cannot rely on anyone.
At Atelier Milanese Japan, we wish to devote ourselves to saving these small lives. We support groups that protect abandoned and stray cats and also participate in actual protection activities.
Giving a Share of Our Earnings
Donate a portion of the sales
Atelier Milanese Japan has decided to donate 10% of jewelry sales to organizations that protect cats. We hope this donation will support many cats in living healthy lives in safe and secure environments, and that each piece of jewelry will become a light that brightens the future of these cats. The ultimate goal of this effort is for Japan to become a country with zero euthanasia. Germany has already achieved zero euthanasia, and we believe it is possible in Japan as well.
Choosing Lab-Grown Diamonds
Selection of lab-grown diamonds
Our social contribution activities are not limited to the protection of cats. As part of our efforts to address environmental issues, Atelier Milanese Japan chooses lab-grown diamonds.
These diamonds shine with unparalleled beauty, but behind them lie many problems. Despite numerous technical challenges, a great deal of time and resources are spent. For example, there are environmental burdens and human rights issues related to the mining, extraction, and manufacturing processes of diamonds (including environmental destruction, funding of conflicts, forced labor, child labor, extreme poverty of workers, debt bondage, exploitation, and smuggling).
On the other hand, lab-grown diamonds, which are created under controlled conditions in a laboratory, are recognized worldwide as genuine diamonds that rival or even surpass natural diamonds in brilliance. Choosing sustainable and environmentally friendly lab-grown diamonds is part of our social contribution to protect the earth and leave beautiful nature for future generations, and we believe it is the right choice.
